Want to Get Rid of Shortcut Arrows Windows 11 desktop?

Step One: Open Run Command
Press “Win Logo Key + R” to open Run Command.
Step Two: Writing Code
Type “REGEDIT” in it and press Enter in your keyboard.

Step Three: Find HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
There are 5 main folders in the Registry Editor.
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- HKEY_USERS
- HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG
You have to select the first one “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT” and click to expand it.
Step Four: Find “lnkfile”.
The lnkfile is responsible for the shortcut to appear in the desktop.
Once you clicked on the lnkfile folder it will open it’s settings in the right panel.
Here you will find “lsShortcut” registry entry.
Once you find the “IsShortcut” registry entry. Please delete it and exit the registry editor. Restart your PC to get rid of shortcut arrows windows 11.
If you want to get back your shortcut arrows, you may restore the “IsShortcut” registry value. We recommend to download the Windows Registry entry before deleting it.

Conclusion
Deleting the “IsShortcut” registry entry will make your desktop beautiful to look, but remember you can’t make a difference between the main file and the shortcut now!
