There is a simple way to hide a specific (any) partition in windows 7 or later. In this article we will show you how to do it with just few clicks. So, just read the post carefully and hide any of your partition easily.
For example, it is a problem with the specific partition / System Reserved partition for some Windows 7 users often. It shows nothing in it but is visible in the “My Computer” area. Today we’ll know how to hide it without any software.
Step One: Understanding The Shorting Method

- Group by
Step Two: The Drive Latter
It is important to know your “Drive Latter”. Drive Latter gives you the Ascending or Descending view your drives / partitions in different ways.
You have to nind the “Drive Latter” of your specific drive you want to hide. You’ll have to do some work with your drive latter after some times.
Your “Drive Latter” may look like some “D” / “E” / “F” or else shown in the picture below:
Step Three: Open the Disk Management Window
To open the Disk Management Window, You have to open “Run” command by pressing “Win logo + R” and write this code in it “diskmgmt.msc” and press enter.
You can see your disk management window will now appear.
Step Four: Remove theDrive Latter
- Right click on “Specific” drive
- Click on “Change Drive Latter Or Path”
- Select the “Drive Latter” on the box
- Click on “Remove” below
That’s it you have successfully removed the drive latter of your specific drive and hide the drive.
Step Five: Time to See The Result
Now there is no drive latter for that “Specific” drive. Restart your computer and you can see your “Specific Drive” has gone.
